Complimentary Commercial Roof Assessment

Everything on CRI is planning-grade information. Decisions need building-specific facts. The assessment is how you get them — documented, no-obligation, and yours to keep.

What it is

A structured on-roof evaluation by a vetted commercial roofing contractor: membrane and flashing condition, drainage, penetrations, visible moisture indicators, and photo documentation — summarized in a written report addressed to you. It's the same first step a consultant would bill for, offered complimentary through CRI's disclosed partner network.

What you receive

  • A documented walk-through with date-stamped photos.
  • A written condition summary: what's sound, what needs attention, what to watch.
  • A useful artifact for budgets, reserve studies, insurance files, and warranty records — regardless of whether any work ever follows.

The ground rules (these are policy, not marketing)

  • No obligation. The report is yours either way.
  • No sales pressure. Partners agree to a no-pressure standard as a condition of receiving CRI referrals; pressure tactics are grounds for removal from the network. If you experience anything different, tell us.
  • Disclosed relationship. If you later choose to engage a partner for work, CRI may receive a referral fee. This is how the free platform is funded — documented on Funding & Relationships and How CRI Works.
  • Editorial independence is untouched. Nothing you read on CRI is written to sell assessments; the assessment exists for readers who ask for it.

When an assessment makes sense

  • Before a repair-or-replace decision — it's the condition data the framework needs.
  • When you are planning around an aging roof and need real condition data to time the decision.
  • Ahead of hurricane season, to create the pre-storm condition record.
  • At property purchase, lease renewal, or reserve-study time.
